Another Terrible Comment from Bill

According to CNN:

"Campaigning for his wife in North Carolina, Clinton said it would be a great thing if we had an election year where, 'you had two people who loved this country and were devoted to the interest of this country.' Instead, he said, there's 'all this other stuff.'"

An Obama Campaign Co-Chair, retired Air Force General Merrill McPeak, called the statement a disguised insult that sounds like McCarthyism.

Seems like a good assessment to me. I think that's being gracious. Clinton is the King of Innuendo and getting away with saying something in just the right way so that he can come back and deny it later if he has to.

At this point, things have deteriorated so far between the two campaigns that I can't imagine either side standing up on a stage with the other candidate during the general election and endorsing them.
