Clinton Supporter Says Obama Will Win

Former Kansas City Mayor Emanuel Cleaver (and current Missouri Congressman) went to those pesky Canadians and said he thought Barack Obama would win the Presidency. This despite the fact that he's a Clinton supporter.

According to CNN:
"If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say Barack Obama is going to be the next president," Missouri Rep. Emanuel Cleaver said in a Canadian public radio interview this weekend. "I will be stunned if he's not the next president of the United States."

Cleaver even went on to say that he's supposed to say Hillary should fight until the convention, but he doesn't really believe that. He says that would be a “tragedy of tragedies.”

Just for good measure, Cleaver manages to insult Kansas City Chiefs fans in the process. From CNN:

In the Canadian radio interview, Cleaver made clear he doesn't expect Clinton to overtake Obama, comparing his support of the New York Democrat to that of his hometown losing football team.

“Even though I don't expect the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Indianapolis Colts, I cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs,” he said.

Hillary's the Chiefs? I don't think so. If Hillary's like anybody in the NFL these days it's the Oakland Raiders. I guess Cleaver can't say he cheers for the Raiders and expect to ever be elected in Missouri again.

As an aside:
How about that Brodie Croyle! Just you watch Mr. Cleaver. We'll be back in the Super Bowl in no time! Yeah, right about the time Hillary's taking the oath of office. Oh, well.
