Obama Losing SNL Straw Poll

Saturday Night Live has decided to hold its own election for the Presidential Contest of 2008, complete with Chevy Chase's Gerald Ford, Will Ferrell's George W. Bush and Darrell Hammond's Bill Clinton and Al Gore.

They have the candidates (as portrayed by their SNL impersonators) squaring off in an NCAA Tournament style bracket. On one side you've got the Democrats in three different races: Barack v. Hillary, Bill v. Gore, and Jimmy Carter v. Tim Calhoun. On the other side is McCain v. George Bush, Sr., GW v. Arnold, and Ford v. Reagan.

So far, Amy Poehler's Hillary is beating Fred Armisen's Barack 55% - 44%. Interestingly, SNL is cutting off it's primary on June 1st, declaring a winner and moving on to the second round. There doesn't appear to be a separate page where superdelegates can vote and overturn the actual election winner.

If you want to take part, you can go here to vote.

Update: You guys must be busy voting. Fred Armisen's Obama now leads 50% to 49%
