Americans Ready for Black Prez, Not Old Prez

A pretty interesting poll from the Washington Post that finds two-thirds of whites say they'd be "entirely comfortable" with a black President. According to the Post that's more than double the amount that are "entirely comfortable" with someone heading into the Presidency for the first time at the age of 72.

If I were running Barack Obama's campaign I'd keep throwing him on stage with McCain as often as I could. Make those two stand side-by-side and you'll keep hammering home the age difference, the charisma difference, and the likeability difference. He comes across as a jolly old soul who can make fun of himself, but you get McCain flustered and he gets mad very easily. He's one of those people who loves to put you down but don't turn the tables on him. He can't take a joke. (Just ask his wife, Cindy).
