Clinton to "Suspend" Campaign, Back Barack

The first step has been taken, but Hillary hasn't folded. She's only "suspending" her campaign which means she's holding on to her delegates, which means she's using them as a bargaining chip to get what she wants. God only knows what that is.

From CNN:

Sen. Hillary Clinton on Saturday will officially suspend her campaign for the presidency and "express her support for Senator Obama and party unity," her campaign said Wednesday.

The Clinton campaign said she will make the announcement at "an event in Washington, D.C.," where she will also thank her supporters.

Sen. Barack Obama and Clinton were in Washington on Wednesday to each address the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The candidates ran into each other at the AIPAC conference and had a brief chat, Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass said.

The two apparently talked by phone as well on Wednesday, but the campaigns say the VP slot was not discussed.

Here are my suggestions of the role Obama should offer Hillary in his administration:
  1. Secretary of Health and Human Services. That way she's not in the White House, but she still gets to visit for Cabinet Meetings.
  2. Bill Clinton Handler. Somebody's got to keep a leash on him as the general election rolls around.
  3. Press Secretary. We all know Clinton can lie with the best of them. She would be able to cover-up anything ala Scott McClellan.
  4. Head of Secret Service. With all her studies of the RFK assassination and dodging sniper fire she'd be the perfect person to help keep Obama safe. (She'd have to get over that hoping he gets knocked off thing). If all else fails:
  5. Head Bat Girl at the new Yankee Stadium. Surely Obama can pull some strings for a New York Senator and get her a job there.
