Oh-oh, here she comes, She's a maneater: Clinton Wants VP Spot

Hillary has decided she should be the VP. According to the AP:

Hillary Rodham Clinton told colleagues Tuesday she would consider joining Barack Obama as his running mate, and advisers said she was withholding a formal departure from the race partly to use her remaining leverage to press for a spot on the ticket.

On a conference call with other New York lawmakers, Clinton, a New York senator, said she was willing to become Obama's vice presidential nominee if it would help Democrats win the White House, according to a participant who spoke on condition of anonymity because this person was not authorized to speak for Clinton.

Do the Democrats really believe Hillary as the VP will help get them elected? Barack Obama is already getting crucified on his "associations." I'm sure the Republicans would love to start throwing out terms like: Whitewater, Rose Law Firm, Kenneth Star, etc. If Obama thinks he has to defend himself now, just wait until he spends an entire debate defending the Clinton Presidency.

Can you imagine how that debate would go?

George Snuffulupagus: Senator Obama, you have chosen Senator Clinton to be your running mate, yet her husband pardoned members of the Weather Underground. Don't you really condone the actions of those terrorists?

Snuffulupagus: Senator Obama, Senator Clinton is married to Bill Clinton who had a "relationship" with Monica Lewinsky. Can we expect to see Monica back in the Oval Office during your Presidency?

Or something just as rational, I'm sure. If Obama wants to take that on, he's either not the candidate I thought he was, or he has some master plan that involves locking Hillary away in Number One Observatory Circle. Let's hope it's the latter.
