Video: Hardball Covers the First Lady Battle

Cindy McCain, I'm sure just totally on her own because that's how she's lived her life - just freely doing what she wants without the iron fist of McCain clamping down on her, has decided to continue to blast Michelle Obama for saying that "for the first time in [her] adult life she is REALLY proud of her country."

Let's get this straight - she did not say this was the first time she had ever been proud of her country. She said it was the first time she was REALLY proud of her country. That's a big difference to me. I also think it's presumptuous of a blonde, white, rich woman to question the experience of a black woman and what she's experienced in America. Nobody's bringing up Cindy's drug abuse, her almost being charged with a felony for stealing those drugs from her own non-profit organization and her husband's use of his influence to keep her out of trouble, and the use by John McCain of her private plane when funds were low at the campaign. (Okay, I guess I just did). The point is, I'd rather have someone who's now really proud of her country (like Michelle said she is) than someone whose always paid lip service to it, but lived a life that does not make you proud.
