I Think McCain Lost Letterman's Vote

I speculated before the show last night that Letterman's choice of Keith Olbermann to fill in for John McCain sent a none too subtle message that he was not pleased with John McCain cancelling his appearance on the Late Show. Last night's show confirmed that Letterman did not care for the decision, or the decision to suspend the campaign, or the decision to delay the debate. In fact, he had some harsh words saying at one point, "Are we suspending [the campaign] because there's an economic crisis or because the poll numbers are sliding?"

It got even better when a producer discovered that while the Letterman show was taping McCain was actually at CBS's studios taping an interview with Katie Couric. The look on Olbermann's face is priceless. This is must see video. You'll want to go about 6:15 in for the above quote and the Couric bit.

Letterman also used his Top Ten to mock McCain. You can see that video HERE.
