CBS Reporter Threatens Obama: "What Goes Around Comes Around"

As a former producer, I know what it's like to deal with "the anchor" type of reporters. Those that complain no matter what you do. (I had one reporter complaining about how dirty Turin was when they had to go cover the Olympics. In Italy. All expense paid.)

Dean Reynolds, a reporter for the CBS Evening News, joins the crowd of ridiculous anchor pomposity and complains about the Obama campaign and its treatment of reporters. He goes on to lavish excess praise on John McCain and his campaign. He ends it all with threatening Barack Obama that "What goes around comes around." From Reynold's blog entry:
The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it's all for security reasons.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

Maybe none of this means much. Maybe a front-running campaign like Obama's that is focused solely on victory doesn't have the time to do the mundane things like print up schedules or attend to the needs of reporters.

But in politics, everything that goes around comes around.
I'd say someone didn't get his cappuccino when he asked for it. I'm sure the McCain folks would've brought it to him right away, given how much they love the media.
