McCain the Hypocrite

Here comes Joe again. After introducing Joe the Plumber into the debate, repeatedly bringing the debate back around to him, including forcing Obama to address him personally and tell him what Joe's fine would be under Obama's health care plan (zero, in case you're wondering), having his surrogates tout Joe in the Spin Room, and then apologizing last night on Letterman for dragging Joe into this mess, Senator McCain now has the gall to blame the media, and specifically Barack Obama, for exposing Joe to the spotlight. Just read what McCain said today about the exposure of Joe:
The response from Senator Obama and his campaign yesterday was to attack Joe. People are digging through his personal life and he has TV crews camped out in front of his house. He didn't ask for Senator Obama to come to his house. He wasn't recruited or prompted by our campaign. He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks.
He just asked a question?? He ought to be able to do that without being targeted with political attacks?? Are you kidding me? You throw him to the wolves like you did Palin and then turn around and complain about the media coverage?

It's all part of McCain's plan to paint Obama as out to get the white guy, Joe Six Pack and his Moose Shooting Baby's Momma. It's transparent, it hasn't worked yet, but maybe McCain thinks if he repeats his outrage enough times he'll get what he wants. The reason it worked for Hillary was because she was a woman. She can play the victim. (Not that women are victims, yada yada). An old washed up white guy from the United States Senate has a hard time looking like a victim of forces out of his control.
